Winter Youth Retreat Coordinator Position Available MCEC, Silver Lake Mennonite Camp, Rockway Mennonite Collegiate and Conrad Grebel are looking for someone who enjoys working with youth to join the Winter Youth Retreat Planning Team. As part of this team you will work directly with the above ministry partners, as well as another retreat coordinator, to help plan the Winter Youth Retreat weekend. Responsibilities include: securing and working with a resource person/group, coaching a team of youth to plan the worship time, creating a schedule for the weekend (including a set up and clean up schedule), organizing the overnight accommodations, and being present during the retreat to oversee the event. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED BY MENNONITE DISASTER SERVICE! MDS Ontario is partnering with MDS New York in the rebuilding phase on Staten Island, NY, as a result of Hurricane Sandy, last fall. We need short term volunteers (1 to 2 weeks) as well as long term leaders such as Project Director, Office Manager, Cooks and Crew Leaders to help people get back into their homes. MDS appreciates the volunteers that have already signed up, March is filled and Apr is filling quickly. This is a long term response. ATTENTION FAMILIES: This summer MDS is building cabins at a church camp in Alberta and we are inviting FAMILIES to participate. The project is located at Camp Evergreen, a Mennonite Brethern facility near Sundre. AB. We need 6 families per week from July 21/13 to August 16/13. All you provide is your time, a positive work ethic and work clothes for the construction sites including good work shoes with steel toes (if available). Sites are available with power for your RV. There are a few RV's available if you don't have an RV, but you must indicate this at the time of registration. MDS will provide supervision, cooks, tools and food for everyone on the project!
