We are all saddened by the recent news that John McDowell has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. A support group has been formed to surround John and Bev. This group is helping them deal with some of the immediate and practical issues they must address while they are also attending to their medical and personal needs.
You are being invited to help. A fundraising evening is being planned for Saturday February the 8th at Parkview Village auditorium in Stouffville, beginning at 7:00 pm. The evening will include music by family and friends and an opportunity for you to give generously, and help the family deal with the loss of income during the time of treatment and convalescence.

February& March: Exploring Great Prayers from the Old Testament
Did you know that the Bible is full of prayers, and not just in the Psalms? We will explore prayers by Moses, Hannah, David, Solomon, Ezra, and others - prayers of joy and lament, prayers that show the depth of human experience and the grace of God who hears and responds.
Led by Bryan Moyer Suderman
April, May & June: Buffalo Shout, Salmon Cry: Conversations on Creation, Land Justice, and Life Together. Edited by Steve Heinrichs
From April to June we will be studying this book together. This is a book that deeply engages the question: How can North Americans come to terms with the lamentable clash between Indigenous and settler cultures, spiritualties and attitudes toward creation?
Led by Rene de Vries & Arnold Neufeldt-Fast Please contact Arnold to purchase a copy of the book.
